Ken King, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 88th district since 2013, recently shared several statements on his social media account addressing legislative achievements and national events.
On September 10, 2025, King announced the enactment of new legislation aimed at supporting rural emergency services. In his post, he stated: “Yesterday, Governor Abbott signed HB 3000 from the 89th Regular Session into law. I’m honored to have played a part in bringing this important legislation forward. HB 3000 creates the Rural Ambulance Service Grant Program, providing funding for counties under 68,750 in https://t.co/Ku9w5aQ0L1”.
The following day, on September 11, King expressed condolences over the passing of Charlie Kirk. He wrote: “America lost a true patriot today and my heart is so heavy. Charlie Kirk was a husband, dad, son, and man of God. He stood bold when many stayed quiet. May we honor his legacy by continuing to speak truth. Robin and I are praying for Charlie’s wife, Erika, and their children. https://t.co/V1NspNY8Ca”.
Later that same day, King marked the anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a message reflecting on national resilience and remembrance: “September 11, 2001, tested our nation and proved our character. We remember the lives lost. We honor the heroes who ran toward danger. And we grieve with the families who still feel that empty seat at the table. #NeverForget https://t.co/RexjPXpQXY”.
King has served as state representative since replacing Jim Landtroop in 2013.
