Ken King, a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 88, has recently shared updates on his community engagement efforts through a series of social media posts. The tweets highlight King’s ongoing town hall meetings across multiple counties and focus on local concerns such as disaster response, infrastructure, and healthcare.
On December 1, 2025, King announced his upcoming visit to Hall County via Twitter: “Hall County is on the schedule for tomorrow afternoon. Hall County Annex | 101 S. Ninth | 1:30 to 2:30pm. Glad to be heading back to Hall County. These town halls keep the work in Austin focused on people in our community. I hope you’ll come by to say hello.”
The following day, December 3, he recapped his activities in Collingsworth County: “Yesterday started in Collingsworth County at the museum in Wellington. We had good participation and discussion around wildfire response, aircraft support, rural ambulance needs, and women’s health. Thank you to Karen Caldwell and her crew for the hospitality.”
Continuing his outreach efforts, King posted about another stop on December 4: “Next stop this week was Childress County, and it was another well-attended town hall with great energy. We talked about infrastructure, disaster mitigation, and the need for real-world legislation that helps save lives instead of score headlines. We also discussed the importance”
King’s district covers a large portion of rural West Texas communities. Since first being elected in 2013 after succeeding Jim Landtroop as state representative for Texas’ 88th House district, he has emphasized connecting legislative priorities with constituent input.
