Farwell ISD issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.
We had several academic UIL teams participate in a practice competition at Texas Tech on January 18.
The Current Events team placed 1st. Competing were Marcus Baca, 1st; Aidan McDonald, 3rd; Sean Von Hoene, 6th; and Adrian Munoz.
The Spelling team took 2nd. Competing were Elizabeth Schwertner 2nd; Piper Actkinson, 4th; Ian Beverage, 11th.
Alec Actkinson was 8th in freshman Number Sense and Eduardo Graxiola placed 5th in Headline Writing. Proud of these students! Giving up a Saturday is hard work!
