49 gifted and talented students were taught in Donley County schools in the 2020-2021 school year

Test 07

Donley County schools enrolled 49 students who were identified as being gifted and talented during the 2020-2021 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is an 11.4% increase over the previous school year.

Of the 554 students enrolled in Donley County schools, 8.8% of them were considered to be gifted and talented.

Donley County enrolled the 60th lowest number of gifted and talented students among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
