There were 621 students enrolled in Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips CISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 7.7% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53% of them were boys, and 47% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 70.2% of the Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips CISD total enrollment.

Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips CISD roughly covers schools within Hutchinson County with its main office in Stinnett.

Among the three schools in Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips CISD, West Texas Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 293 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
