There were 3,441 students enrolled in Pampa ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53.2% of them were boys, and 46.8% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Pampa ISD students was Hispanic, accounting for 49.3% of the student population.

Pampa ISD roughly covers schools within Gray County with its main office in Pampa.

Among the six schools in Pampa ISD, Pampa High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,046 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
