How many Hispanic students were enrolled in Fort Elliott CISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 15 Hispanic students enrolled in Fort Elliott CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 25% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Fort Elliott CISD schools welcomed 153 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 9.8% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Fort Elliott CISD roughly covers schools within Wheeler County and has a main office in Briscoe.

Fort Elliott School was the only school in the district which enrolled Hispanic students, welcoming 15 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
