Of the 4,867 students attending Moore County schools, 74.7% were Hispanic. White students were the second largest ethnicity, making up 17.6% of the total enrollment.
In the previous school year, Hispanic students also made up the largest ethnic group in Moore County, comprising 73.2% of the student body.
Morningside Elementary School had the most even distribution of races among the county schools, which included 70.8% Hispanic students, 19.5% white students, 4.9% Asian students, 3.2% Black students, 0.9% multiracial students, and 0.7% American Indian students.
In the 2022-23 school year, total public school enrollment in the county dropped 0.7% when compared to the previous year.
