There were 406 Hispanic students enrolled in Wheeler County schools in the 2021-22 school year, 4.7% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Wheeler County welcomed 1,086 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic comprised 37.4% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the county.
