As the dust clears from the general election, President Donald J. Trump is battling the results in the court system as President-elect Joe Biden makes plans to assume office.
While a chorus grows for a peaceful transition, many supporters of the president are hopeful of finding justice and seeing what they deem to be illegal votes thrown out.
In the latest lawsuit filed in Wisconsin, the Associated Press reported Republicans are attempting to have the Wisconsin Supreme Court block certification as a recount takes place within the state. The lawsuit is similar to others that have been filed across the nation as the party would like to state legislatures to determine the true recipient of their state's electoral votes.
Wheeler County GOP Chairwoman Elizabeth McDowell said Trump should not only not concede prior to January 2021, but that there is no reason to do so.
“The transition with Biden cannot be eased,” she said. “If in fact Biden is declared president, Trump will leave office and Biden will ‘take over.’”
Wheeler stated concern that Biden was unfit for office and has been used by Democrats under President Barack Obama to get back in power.
“The election was stolen by the Democrats,” McDowell said. “I am very sorry for Mr. Biden as he is unable to utter a simple declarative sentence. Something is wrong with him. It reminds me of the poor people in the Alzheimer’s unit my dad was in. His family and the Democrat Party should be ashamed of themselves for putting him through this. Clearly he will not last long as president and the VP will take over and be joined by the 2017 outgoing administration who have been chomping at the big to get back in there.”
The Associated Press reported at least 10 legal cases have been filed across the country seeking to halt certification and none had been successful to this point as chances for Trump to remain in power grow dimmer.
“I am still praying for a miracle,” McDowell said. “God help us if He decides not to intervene in this election because we are headed straight for communism.”
