Channing ISD Education: 163 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 163 students enrolled in Channing ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 3% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.9% of them were girls, and 49.1% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 52.1% of the Channing ISD total enrollment.

Channing ISD roughly covers schools within Hartley County with its main office in Channing.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
