There were 458 students enrolled in Bovina ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53.9% of them were boys, and 46.1% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 94.5% of the Bovina ISD total enrollment.

Bovina ISD roughly covers schools within Parmer County with its main office in Bovina.

Among the three schools in Bovina ISD, Bovina Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 221 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
