There were 2,500 students enrolled in Borger ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.6% of them were boys, and 49.4% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Borger ISD students was Hispanic, accounting for 47.5% of the student population.

Borger ISD roughly covers schools within Hutchinson County with its main office in Borger.

Among the six schools in Borger ISD, Borger High School recorded the highest enrollment of 791 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
