Congressman Nathaniel Moran and Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz have introduced the Honor Inauguration Day Act. The proposed legislation aims to ensure that American flags are flown at their highest peak on Presidential Inauguration Day.

"Inauguration Day should be a time for celebration and excitement as we look ahead to our new Administration," stated Congressman Moran. He expressed pride in cosponsoring the legislation, which was initiated by Congresswoman De La Cruz. The bill seeks to celebrate the democratic process by ensuring the flag is fully raised on this significant day.

The legislation does not restrict the ceremonial lowering of the flag, which can still occur at the President's discretion before or after Inauguration Day.
