Washington, D.C.­– Congressman Nathaniel Moran (TX-01) held a meeting with farmers, ranchers, and leaders in the Texas agricultural community to address the current challenges rural areas are facing. The meeting, which took place in Washington, saw the participation of key organizations such as the Texas Farm Bureau, the Texas Cattle Feeders Association, and the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.

In his address, Congressman Moran expressed his gratitude towards the attendees, stating, "Thank you to the hundreds of farmers and ranchers from our Texas agriculture community who flew to Washington this week to discuss the challenges facing their agricultural operations and the federal policies that impact their industry and community."

Acknowledging the vital role of these individuals in the agricultural sector, Congressman Moran remarked, “These leaders in agriculture fuel our nation’s food supply, steward our precious land, and raise the next generation of America’s farmers and ranchers.”

Furthermore, he showed appreciation for the dedication of the farmers and ranchers of East Texas, saying, "I am grateful to the farmers and ranchers of East Texas for their devotion to this industry that feeds the world."

Looking ahead, Congressman Moran assured his support for the industry, pledging to assist in strengthening the agriculture sector and combatting detrimental policies. He stated, "And, I look forward to supporting their efforts to strengthen our agriculture industry while fighting off bad policies that overly regulate our producers."
